Doubtful educational usefulness due to a combination of several elements:

  • no sensible name at source, the short APNV is not self-explanatory and not really Google-able
  • no identification of depicted individuals
  • this photographic still does not add significantly to collections of depictions of PoC, human faces, talks, or whatever else one could imagine as generic categories.

On the other hand: if an identification of the people could be made, this DR will become moot. Regards, Grand-Duc (talk) 21:52, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It has something to do with the South African embassy in the United States, that's for sure. On the source website, the photo is also included in an album called "Atlanta Phambili...". I googled that because I was wondering if the "AP" part in "APNV" might stand for "Atlanta Phambili", but couldn't really figure that out[1]. So I checked whether there are any reports on events around the South African embassy or Atlanta Phambili around the date on which the photo was taken (10 December 2024), and it looks like there was an event on 6 December 2024[2], so I'm guessing the photo has something to do with that. Yep, looks like that's what it is - the event/visit was from 4–10 December: "Johannesburg, December 11, 2024 – Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens concluded a landmark official visit to South Africa, accompanied by a delegation of 35 Atlantan political, business, and community leaders. The December 4-11 visit marked a significant milestone in Atlanta Phambili—a subnational diplomacy initiative centered on deepening U.S.-South Africa partnership through the City of Atlanta– and reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing economic, cultural, and educational collaboration between the two nations."[3][4] Nakonana (talk) 00:38, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
