[edit]DescriptionSkylab Extreme Ultraviolet (XUV) Coronal Spectroheliograph graphic (0101992).jpg |
English: This chart describes Skylab's Extreme Ultraviolet (XUV) Coronal Spectroheliograph, one of the eight Apollo Telescope Mount facilities. It was designed to sequentially photograph the solar chromosphere and corona in selected ultraviolet wavelengths . The instrument also obtained information about composition, temperature, energy conversion and transfer, and plasma processes of the chromosphere and lower corona. The Marshall Space Flight Center had program management responsibility for the development of Skylab hardware and experiments. |
